Senior Electrical Engineer — Role Overview

This position places you at the centre of electrical delivery for a complex data centre build, managing design coordination, subcontractor performance, and quality assurance from construction through commissioning. You'll lead technical problem-solving and ensure systems are delivered to exacting standards.

Senior Electrical Engineer — Responsibilities

• Manage, review and coordinate electrical design and construction drawings, resolving technical issues and driving solutions
• Provide expert technical guidance to subcontractors and site teams on all aspects of electrical engineering
• Lead and prioritise tasks for the technical team, ensuring timely and efficient execution of works
• Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project plans, schedules and Health & Safety regulations
• Proactively identify and resolve issues using established troubleshooting and root-cause analysis techniques
• Oversee document control processes, maintaining all logs, records and technical documentation
• Prepare and coordinate test packs and handover documentation for electrical systems in line with commissioning requirements
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve safety risks
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance safety and performance
• Ensure subcontractors maintain excellent site housekeeping and organisation

Senior Electrical Engineer — Ideal Candidate

Essential:
• Relevant Electrical Qualification (Bachelor's degree in Engineering)
• 5+ years' experience in a similar role within a mechanical and electrical contracting environment
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements on large-scale projects
• Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills
• Competency in MS Office and document control software

Desirable:
• Data centre construction experience
