Quality Manager — Role Overview

This internship provides valuable experience in quality management, supporting the Quality Manager in achieving project objectives. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality across various construction activities.

Quality Manager — Responsibilities

As a Quality Manager Intern, you will:

  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager to allocate resources for the project.
  • Assist in achieving contract quality requirements and objectives, both on and off-site.
  • Support the implementation of quality vision, goals, and strategies.
  • Help identify and produce quality department deliverables.
  • Verify the implementation of contractual requirements.
  • Assist in setting up inspection teams for on and off-site inspections.
  • Review Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Utilize digital construction platforms.
  • Ensure inspections are carried out on completed works.
  • Review and monitor vendor/contractor deliverables.
  • Support the implementation of project procedures and processes.
  • Record and manage quality work to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Assist in planning and performing quality audits and assessments.
  • Support internal audits at key stages of work delivery.
  • Raise non-conformances and support resolution and closeout.
  • Report non-conformances and corrective actions with documented evidence.
  • Review project deliverables to ensure quality requirements are incorporated.
  • Assist in producing weekly and monthly reports and managing KPI information.
  • Ensure all quality reports are produced and uploaded within the document system.
  • Provide guidance and support to the quality team.

Quality Manager — Ideal Candidate

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in QA/QC or an equivalent discipline.
  • Relevant IT experience.
  • Familiarity with digital construction platforms.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience with projects of a similar nature and size.
  • Previous experience in Construction Operations.
  • Professional qualification in QA/QC or equivalent discipline.
  • Professional certification.
  • Experience in BIM 360.
  • Internal Quality Lead Auditor.
  • Experience with integrated management systems.
