MEP Manager — Role Overview
As MEP Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of electrical and mechanical systems packages on site. Your role is crucial in ensuring project delivery aligns with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
MEP Manager — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Managing electrical and mechanical systems packages.
- Ensuring site safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and Safety Advisor, including managing the safety file.
- Driving a focused Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental culture within the team.
- Managing Site QA in conjunction with the QA Manager, including file management.
- Managing the Project Schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager, consulting Engineer, and Client requirements.
- Managing costs associated with the electrical and mechanical teams, subcontractors, material deliveries, plant and equipment, variations, and valuations.
- Managing day-to-day site operations.
- Ensuring policies and procedures are followed closely.
- Managing subcontractor activities, tracking progress and staffing levels, and holding weekly meetings.
- Managing the snagging system and ensuring supervisors return weekly punch lists.
- Issuing weekly cost reports, including orders, materials, and labor levels.
- Issuing internal and external weekly progress reports, highlighting progress, concerns, delays, and risks.
- Scheduling and tracking material deliveries.
- Maintaining a weekly project photographic diary.
- Liaising with and maintaining strong relationships with the client team.
- Reviewing design in conjunction with project teams.
- Overseeing coordination of works between various M&E scope items.
MEP Manager — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A trade and/or relevant third-level qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience in Project Management.
- A proven record of coordinating and managing large installation projects.
- Experience dealing with Industrial Relations issues.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety.
- Experience in design and build.
- Good technical knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well within strict deadlines.
- Ability to drive a large-scale project.
- Ability to manage others within a team environment.
