MEP Lead — Role Overview
This MEP Lead position places you at the centre of high-value data centre construction, directing multidisciplinary engineering teams through design optimisation, construction execution, and quality assurance. You will drive commercial and technical outcomes while ensuring programme delivery.
MEP Lead — Responsibilities
You will:
• Lead and develop a team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers through all project phases
• Propose and implement design modifications to improve cost efficiency, accelerate construction programmes, and enhance final specification and quality
• Exercise commercial judgment to protect and improve project margins
• Monitor construction quality, ensuring workmanship and materials meet specification standards
• Coordinate with Contracts Managers, Site Engineers, and discipline leads to ensure subcontractors and site personnel receive timely, accurate technical information
• Review drawings and specifications rigorously, formally escalating errors or omissions to the design team without delay
• Establish resource requirements and motivate the project team to achieve delivery targets
• Maintain the highest standards of health and safety across all MEP operations
MEP Lead — Ideal Candidate
Essential
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Proven experience leading MEP teams effectively
• Demonstrable track record delivering Data Centre MEP projects
• Strong procurement knowledge
• Experience in scheduling, programming, and sequencing construction activities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
