Mechanical Supervisor — Role Overview

Scope of the Role:

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will assume full responsibility for the end-to-end construction and process, adherence to production scheduling & deadlines and safety & quality standards.

Mechanical Supervisor — Responsibilities

• Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the project team and the Our Client Safety Advisor. This will include the set-up, management of and closing out of the safety file
• Management of Site QA, specifically with regards to the Mechanical package including set up, management and close out of file
• Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Our Client Project team, consulting Engineer and Client requirements
• Management of all costs associated with your package including:
• Sub-contractors
• Material deliveries and goods receipting
• Plant and Equipment
• Variations
• Valuations
• Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minute meeting with sub-contractor.
• Management of the Our Client snagging system ensuring that the subcontractors adhere to all Our Client QAQC processes
• Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
• Close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the support of the site project manager
• Issue internal weekly progress report, to the Project Manager, highlighting areas not available, and delays, shortage of design, third party hold ups and percentage. This will be rolled up into the external Project report.
• Ensure all Sub-contractor documentation including safety documentation is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.
• Issue project labour projections.
• Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).
• All other duties associated with this role.

• A Mechanical engineering degree or from a trade background with 5 years relevant work experience in a supervisory capacity
• Excellent understanding of mechanical systems
• Good understanding of Electrical and CSA systems
• Good knowledge of pre commissioning
• Proven record of co-ordinating and managing large projects
• Excellent organisational and project planning skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Proficient in use of a PC
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Fluent English
• Flexible to travel

• Styring af Mercurys snagging-system, der sikrer, at underleverandørerne overholder alle Mercurys QAQC-processer
• Deltagelse i møder på byggepladsen, interne projektgennemgange, tekniske gennemgange, planlægnings- og koordineringsmøder og overdragelsesmøder
• Afslutning af alle projektposter, herunder slutregnskab, drifts- og vedligeholdelsesmanualer, punchliste, sikkerhedsfil, kvalitetssikringsfil, flytning af materialer og anlæg, projektplan – alt sammen med støtte fra projektlederen på stedet.
• Udsted en intern ugentlig statusrapport til projektlederen, der fremhæver områder, der ikke er tilgængelige, samt forsinkelser, mangel på design, forsinkelser fra tredjepart og procentdel. Dette vil blive inkluderet i den eksterne projektrapport.

• Udsted projektbeskæftigelsesprognoser.
