HR Generalist — Role Overview

This HR Generalist role provides administrative support to Strategic Business Partners and HR Business Partners across assigned business units. The successful candidate will contribute to key HR functions, working closely with various HR Centres of Excellence.

HR Generalist — Responsibilities

As HR Generalist, you will:

  • Maintain HR trackers, reports, and internal procedure documents.
  • Gather and monitor data on retention, attrition, performance management, headcount changes, and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with the HRIS CoE and Payroll to ensure data accuracy.
  • Track probation periods and internal transfer dates.
  • Monitor population and absence data (SAP).
  • Conduct exit interviews and compile Continuous Performance Management (CPM) reports.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees within assigned business units.
  • Provide guidance on country-specific legislation, practices, and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Support Line Managers with performance improvement plans and HRBPs with employee relations processes.
  • Support recruitment queries and job requisitions.
  • Coordinate internal transfers, including approvals, contracts, and annual leave payouts.
  • Process sick leave certifications and log on HRIS (MPP).
  • Compare annual leave reports (SAP).
  • Manage unauthorized absences and return-to-work processes.
  • Manage occupational health appointments.
  • Oversee the New Hire HR onboarding platform and check-ins.
  • Manage New Hire probation notifications and employee inductions.
  • Manage Leavers termination checklists and track accrued annual leave.
  • Support the redundancy process during project ramp down.
  • Maintain knowledge of employment law and statutory leave requirements.
  • Take minutes and report on disciplinary/grievance cases.
  • Address attendance/absence and poor performance issues.
  • Provide verbal counselling and log cases.
  • Assist in the delivery of HR Policy & Practice Training.
  • Liaise with global mobility on de-registration processes.
  • Initiate visa processes and manage right-to-work/internal transfers.
  • Update HRIS and internal systems.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with HR CoEs.
  • Contribute to Group HR projects as requested.

HR Generalist — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3rd level qualification in HRM / HRD or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar HR Generalist role.
  • Proven ability to work confidentially and discreetly.
  • Previous experience in managing Employee Relations issues.
  • Experience in supporting and coaching first Line Managers.
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office).

Desirable:

  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or equivalent experience and willingness to upgrade within the CIPD framework.
