Health and Safety Advisor — Role Overview

You will serve as a key safety professional supporting the project management team and site Health & Safety lead, ensuring full compliance with Finnish legislation and the contractor's rigorous safety management systems. Your expertise will directly influence safe working practices across a complex, fast-paced data centre environment.

Health and Safety Advisor — Responsibilities

• Support the Project Management team and Site Health & Safety Lead in day-to-day safety operations
• Ensure strict adherence to the project and contractor Safety Management System
• Maintain compliance with all relevant Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions and Finnish legislation
• Implement Leading Data Centre Contractor PSCS Environmental, Health & Safety Plans
• Review and approve Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Safe Plans of Action, and Permits to Work
• Ensure compliance with the Project Execution Plan at all times
• Maintain and promote Good Safety Practices across all site activities
• Conduct ongoing C.O.S.H.H assessments and control of hazardous substances
• Complete and register all safety interventions through established systems
• Carry out regular site audits and inspections, document findings, and drive corrective actions to closure

Health and Safety Advisor — Ideal Candidate

Essential:
• Relevant third-level degree qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
• 3+ years' experience on large construction sites
• Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site

Desirable:
• Flexibility in working patterns where necessary
• Data centre or mission-critical facility experience
• Familiarity with PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage) requirements
