Electrical Project Manager — Role Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager to oversee all aspects of electrical installations on site. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Electrical Project Manager — Responsibilities

As Electrical Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage Electrical Site Safety and QA, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
  • Manage Project Schedules, consulting with the project team, engineers, and clients to meet targets.
  • Manage costs associated with electrical packages, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials.
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations for Electrical contractors, tracking progress and manpower levels.
  • Attend Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, and Planning Meetings.
  • Close out project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, and QA File.
  • Support engineering requirements by liaising with key project stakeholders.
  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
  • Manage the quality needs for all electrical packages on site, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Prepare and manage the scope of work for subcontractors, including objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Evaluate tenders and cost analysis of electrical packages.
  • Report on schedule and cost implications of engineering designs and changes.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, delegating tasks and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors, providing regular updates.
  • Prepare and share regular progress reports, identifying delays and issues.
  • Identify and manage project risks to deliver projects within expectations.
  • Develop Project Execution strategies, specifically with respect to QEHS standards.
  • Develop and implement Project Schedules in accordance with key milestones.
  • Coordinate and develop test and commissioning procedures.

Electrical Project Manager — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A trade and/or relevant third qualification
  • 5-10 years previous experience in Project Management
  • Proven record of coordinating and managing large installation projects
  • Experience dealing with IR issues
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Experience in design and build
  • Good Technical Knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment
  • Ability to drive a large-scale project
