Electrical Project Manager — Role Overview
This is a hands-on leadership position directing full electrical scope delivery on complex construction projects. You will own the interface between design, installation, and client stakeholders while building and mentoring high-performing site teams.
Electrical Project Manager — Responsibilities
• Oversee and coordinate all electrical installation activities across the full project scope
• Lead electrical design coordination with internal teams, subcontractors and client representatives
• Drive weekly and daily work planning to maximise productivity and performance
• Monitor schedule, budget and quality adherence with proactive intervention to prevent delays
• Manage labour, materials and resource allocation to optimise project delivery
• Mentor and develop project teams including engineers, package managers, supervisors and foremen
• Chair weekly coordination meetings with foremen, Safety Advisor, QA Engineer and BIM teams
• Prepare comprehensive weekly reports covering incidents, schedule updates, 12-week lookahead, procurement forecasts and variation logs
• Track and close out all meeting actions with clear accountability
• Maintain rigorous documentation control and sign-off on foremen reports
• Coordinate safe, productive operations in shared work areas with multiple subcontractors
Electrical Project Manager — Ideal Candidate
Essential
• Minimum 10 years' experience managing large-scale electrical projects (commercial offices, retail, hotels, schools or data centres)
• Trade or Engineering qualification
• Recent experience managing major electrical contracts
• Proven track record in schedule, budget and resource management within complex, fast-paced environments
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills with ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams
Highly Desirable
• Data centre project experience
