Electrical Package Manager — Role Overview
This critical appointment oversees all electrical systems delivery, combining technical authority with commercial accountability. You will lead site teams and subcontractors through a complex, fast-track environment where precision and pace are equally essential.
Electrical Package Manager — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
• Managing the full electrical systems package from design coordination through installation, testing, and final commissioning
• Overseeing site safety leadership including safety file management in collaboration with project leadership
• Driving QHSE culture and ensuring all policies and procedures are rigorously followed
• Coordinating with project managers, consulting engineers and client stakeholders to maintain programme delivery
• Controlling all electrical package costs: direct labour, subcontractors, materials, plant, equipment, variations and valuations
• Supervising subcontractor activities, tracking progress against schedule and monitoring manpower levels
• Managing the in-progress snagging system with weekly punch lists and subcontractor distribution
• Issuing weekly cost reports covering orders placed, material forecasts and labour levels
• Producing internal and external progress reports with WBS tracking, risk identification and percentage complete
• Scheduling and tracking all material deliveries aligned to programme requirements
• Maintaining comprehensive weekly photographic project records
• Attending and contributing to site meetings, engineering reviews, planning sessions and handover meetings
Electrical Package Manager — Ideal Candidate
Essential
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Proven project management experience on large-scale projects, ideally data centres, pharmaceutical or industrial environments
• Strong track record coordinating and managing complex electrical and mechanical systems
• Experience handling industrial relations matters
• Solid knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and practices
• Design and build project experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant technical software
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
