Electrical Package Manager — Role Overview
You will take full ownership of the electrical systems package, driving delivery from design coordination through to commissioning. This position sits at the heart of project execution, requiring close collaboration with subcontractors, engineers, and client stakeholders to ensure safe, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
Electrical Package Manager — Responsibilities
• Manage the full Electrical Systems package from design coordination through installation, testing, and commissioning
• Oversee site safety operations and maintain the safety file in partnership with project leadership
• Drive QHSE culture across your team and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
• Collaborate with Project Manager, consulting engineers, and client to manage programme and delivery milestones
• Control all electrical package costs: direct labour, subcontractors, materials, plant, variations, and valuations
• Supervise subcontractor activities, tracking progress, manpower levels, and schedule adherence
• Maintain the 'In Progress' snagging system, ensuring weekly punch lists and subcontractor distribution
• Issue weekly cost reports covering orders placed, expected materials, and labour levels
• Produce internal and external progress reports detailing percentage complete, risks, delays, and design shortages
• Schedule and track all material deliveries aligned to project programme
• Maintain weekly photographic project diary and attend all site, engineering, and coordination meetings
Electrical Package Manager — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Proven project management experience on large-scale projects, ideally data centres, pharmaceutical, or industrial environments
• Strong track record coordinating complex electrical and mechanical systems projects
• Experience managing industrial relations matters
• Solid knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and practices
• Design and build project experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant technical software
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
