Electrical Package Manager — Role Overview

As Electrical Package Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of electrical systems on site. You will manage subcontractors, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and contribute to the overall project success.

Electrical Package Manager — Responsibilities

As Electrical Package Manager, you will:

  • Manage the Electrical Systems package.
  • Manage Site Safety in conjunction with the Electrical project manager and the Safety Advisor, including safety file management.
  • Drive a focused Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental culture within your team.
  • Manage Site QA in conjunction with the QA Manager including file management.
  • Manage the Project Schedule in conjunction with the Project manager, consulting Engineer and Client requirements.
  • Manage all costs associated with your package including the Electrical Team, Sub-contractors, Material deliveries, Plant and Equipment, Variations, and Valuations.
  • Manage all day-to-day site operations and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manage sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
  • Manage the "In Progress" snagging system.
  • Attend Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings.
  • Close out all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, and the Project Plan.
  • Issue weekly cost reports and internal/external progress reports.
  • Schedule and track material deliveries.
  • Maintain a weekly project photographic diary.

Electrical Package Manager — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A trade and/or relevant third level qualification
  • Minimum 5-10 years previous experience in Project Management
  • Proven record of coordinating and managing large installation projects
  • Experience dealing with Industrial Relations issues
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Experienced in design and build
  • Good technical knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well within strict deadlines
  • Ability to drive a large-scale project
