Electrical Engineer — Role Overview

This position is central to electrical systems delivery, combining hands-on technical oversight with team leadership. You will coordinate design implementation, ensure compliance across all operational standards, and drive quality through the full project lifecycle.

Electrical Engineer — Responsibilities

You will:
• Lead and coordinate electrical sub-contractor teams across design, development and installation phases of large-scale electrical systems
• Manage, review and coordinate technical drawings, ensuring alignment with project programmes
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to sub-contracted staff, prioritising and allocating work across the technical team
• Drive sub-contractor compliance with site requirements, health & safety obligations and operational standards
• Apply systematic troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and implement corrective actions
• Maintain rigorous document control, keeping all logs current and accurate
• Create comprehensive handover packs and test packs for completed systems
• Champion safety culture through 'don't walk by' initiatives, housekeeping standards and continuous improvement of working practices

Electrical Engineer — Ideal Candidate

Essential:
• Relevant Electrical Qualification (Masters or Bachelor's degree in Engineering)
• 5+ years' experience in similar role within mechanical and electrical contracting environment
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills

Preferred:
• HNC/HND qualifications
• Data centre construction experience
