EHS Manager — Role Overview

You will own EHS compliance across a complex Data Centre construction site, reporting directly to the EHS Lead. This is a hands-on leadership position where your decisions directly protect people, ensure regulatory compliance, and safeguard project delivery.

EHS Manager — Responsibilities

• Oversee full project compliance with the contractor's Safety Management System and all statutory EHS legislation
• Develop, implement and maintain Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans and PSCS EHS Plans
• Prepare and analyse H&S performance reports and metrics for senior management review
• Author and review method statements, risk assessments, Safe Plans of Action (SPA) and permit-to-work systems
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, documenting findings and driving corrective actions to closure
• Manage C.O.S.H.H. assessments and ensure control measures are effectively implemented
• Lead incident and accident investigations with timely reporting to project leadership
• Coordinate EHS induction and training programmes for all site personnel and subcontractors
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with project EHS policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate statutory inspection records and documentation systems
• Proactively identify and mitigate project EHS risks before they impact delivery

EHS Manager — Ideal Candidate

Essential:
• Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing EHS on large-scale construction projects
• Strong working knowledge of current Irish and EU Health & Safety legislation
• Proven track record managing all EHS aspects of complex construction sites
• Proficiency in MS Office and EHS reporting systems
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills

Desirable:
• Data Centre construction experience
• Ability to work on own initiative while fostering collaboration across teams and subcontractors
• Flexible approach to working patterns and changing project priorities
