EHS Lead

You will be responsible for:

• Adhering to the project and the employer's Safety Management System.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions and legislation.
• Adhering to the employer's Environmental, Health & Safety Plans.
• Coordinating the development of task-specific Method statements, risk assessments, safe plans of action, and permit to work systems.
• Monitoring compliance with the project execution plan.
• Coordinating project safety indicators.
• Managing and maintaining good safety practices.
• Conducting ongoing C.O.S.H.H assessments and managing control of hazardous substances.
• Ensuring that safety interventions are completed and registered.
• Carrying out regular site audits and inspections, documenting results, and following up on any corrective actions.
• Maintaining records of statutory inspections for project activities, tools, and plant.
• Providing safety input to site management and at site EHS forums.
• Ensuring project sub-contractors adhere to project and group EHS policies and procedures.
• Coordinating, managing, and maintaining the employer's induction and training programs.
• Managing project PPE resources and availability.
• Compiling and delivering Toolbox talks as necessary.
• Assisting with or carrying out accident investigation reports in a timely manner and ensuring communication to project management.
• Ensuring welfare and hygiene facilities are in place, managed, and maintained.
• Liaising with site Project Management on environmental, health, and safety issues.
• Ensuring up-to-date documentation is included with the Safety File.
• Maintaining waste reduction and recycling programs in line with project policies and procedures.
