Document Controller — Role Overview

The Document Controller sits at the heart of project delivery, ensuring seamless information flow across all stakeholders. You will maintain document integrity, version control, and compliance standards that keep a complex, fast-paced construction site running efficiently.

Document Controller — Responsibilities

• Manage and control all project documentation in accordance with company standards and the Integrated Management System (IMS)
• Distribute and track documents to ensure stakeholders access current versions of drawings, schedules, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs and reports
• Maintain and update project registers including document register, RFI register, action log and issue log
• Analyse and summarise data from project logs, flagging outstanding actions and overdue items
• Generate regular reports on document status and overdue items to support project tracking
• Ensure accurate storage and version control per project document control procedures
• Liaise with external consultants and contractors to ensure documentation compliance with project standards
• Support QA, QC and HSE initiatives through audit assistance and document-related compliance

Document Controller — Ideal Candidate

Essential:
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar site-based document control role
• High level of verbal and written English
• Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills
• Advanced IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable:
• Experience with knowledge sharing applications
