CSA Package Manager — Role Overview
This CSA Package Manager role is crucial for coordinating and overseeing shell and core works. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.
CSA Package Manager — Responsibilities
As a CSA Package Manager, you will:
- Manage the coordination of shell and core works packages.
- Oversee site safety, including file setup, management, and closeout.
- Manage site QA, including file setup, management, and closeout.
- Manage the project schedule in conjunction with the planner, project managers, subcontractors, and consulting engineer/architect.
- Manage all project-related costs, including labor, material, plant, equipment, variations, and valuations.
- Manage all day-to-day site operations.
- Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and staffing levels.
- Ensure all subcontractor documentation is up-to-date and filed.
- Attend site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
- Close out all project items, including final account, O&M manuals, punch list, safety file, QA file, material and plant relocations, and the project plan.
- Issue daily reports to the Project Manager.
- Issue weekly safety stats and project labor projections.
- Hold weekly commercial meetings to ensure all variations are captured and costs are issued.
- Develop and implement company procedures with project managers.
- Ensure change management is handled correctly (cost and program).
- Review drawings and setting out details.
- Ensure builder's work drawings for services are incorporated.
- Carry out, distribute, and close out CSA snags.
- Liaise with the design team and project coordinator to ensure necessary information is prioritized and issued according to the construction schedule.
CSA Package Manager — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Fluency in French & English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with a recognized groundworks/RC frame subcontractor.
- At least 5 years of site management experience.
- The ability to work to deadlines and within budgets.
- Understanding of site technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
- Understanding of structural detailing and required calculations.
- Sound Mathematical and IT skills
- Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
