CSA Lead — Role Overview
As CSA Lead, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of all civil, structural, and architectural aspects of the project. Your expertise will ensure the project adheres to specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
CSA Lead — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the coordination of civil, structural, and architectural work packages.
- Managing site safety and QA in conjunction with the Project Manager and Safety Advisor.
- Managing the project schedule in conjunction with the Planner, Project Managers, Sub-Contractors, and consulting Engineer/Architect.
- Managing all aspects associated with the project with the support of the project QS, including labour, material, plant and equipment, variations, and valuations.
- Managing all day-to-day site operations.
- Supporting the engineering requirements through managing and liaising with key project stakeholders.
- Ensuring works are installed in accordance with project specifications and the Project QA plan.
- Managing the Construction Work Packs process from development, implementation, and handover.
- Scheduling material deliveries and tracking progress, utilizing Engineering Materials Report (EMR).
- Overseeing the coordination process to transform design information into full installation drawings by BIM personnel.
- Managing sub-contractor activities, tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
- Ensuring all sub-contractor documentation is maintained up to date.
- Attending site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
- Closing out all project deliverables, including Final Account, O&M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, and QA File.
- Issuing regular progress reports to the Project Manager, highlighting any concerns or risk elements.
- Preparing sub-contract and supplier tender packages in conjunction with the project QS.
- Assessing sub-contract and supplier tender returns for technical compliance.
- Holding weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure all variations are captured.
- Reviewing drawings and setting out details, and producing builders works drawings for services.
- Maintaining a weekly project photographic diary.
- Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
- Carrying out, distributing, and closing out CSA snags.
CSA Lead — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- 10-15+ years of experience in the construction sector.
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or other relevant degree.
- Strong leadership, multi-tasking, organizational, and planning skills.
- The ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in the use of systems software related to engineering functions.
- Excellent IT and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Project/Primavera planning software and the CAD/BIM process.
- The ability to manage workload and prioritize.
