Construction Manager — Role Overview

This Construction Manager role is pivotal to the successful delivery of complex engineering projects in Frankfurt. You will coordinate all CSA, MECH, and ELEC work packages, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Construction Manager — Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating all CSA, MECH, and ELEC work packages.
  • Managing site safety, including file setup, management, and closeout.
  • Managing site QA, including file setup, management, and closeout.
  • Managing the project schedule in conjunction with the planner, project managers, subcontractors, and consulting engineer/architect.
  • Managing all costs associated with the project, including labor, material, plant and equipment, variations, and valuations.
  • Managing all day-to-day site operations.
  • Directly managing the project team, aligning all discipline leads to project goals.
  • Managing subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels, and holding weekly meetings.
  • Managing the snagging system, ensuring supervisors return weekly punch lists.
  • Ensuring all subcontractor documentation, including safety documentation, is up to date and filed.
  • Planning and managing general operatives, security, telehandler drivers, traffic marshals, etc., within the agreed budget.
  • Managing overall site logistics.
  • Driving a culture of safety and quality throughout the project.
  • Reviewing weekly progress reports, highlighting delays and shortages.
  • Attending site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
  • Closing out all project items, including final account, O&M manuals, punch list, safety file, QA file, and material and plant relocations.
  • Issuing daily reports to the Project Manager.
  • Issuing weekly safety stats and project labor projections.
  • Holding weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team.
  • Developing and implementing company procedures with the Project Managers.
  • Ensuring change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).
  • Reviewing drawings and setting out details.
  • Producing builders works drawings for services.
  • Carrying out distribute & close out CSA snags.

Construction Manager — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good strong working knowledge of CSA Construction process
  • 5-7 years experience as a CSA Construction Manager/ Supervisor
  • Trade background or third level education in a relevant engineering/ construction background
  • Proven track record in coordinating and managing large scale projects
  • Data Centre experience would be an advantage
