Construction Manager — Role Overview
This Construction Manager role is critical to the successful delivery of a complex engineering project. You will manage site operations, project schedules, and subcontractor activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Construction Manager — Responsibilities
As Construction Manager, you will:
- Manage the coordination of all CSA, MECH, and ELEC work packages.
- Manage Site Safety and QA, including file management.
- Manage the Project Schedule in conjunction with the Planner, Project Managers, Sub-Contractors and consulting Engineer/Architect.
- Manage all costs associated with the Project, including labour, material, plant and equipment, variations, and valuations.
- Manage all day-to-day site operations.
- Directly manage the project team, aligning all discipline leads.
- Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels.
- Manage the snagging system, ensuring supervisors return weekly punch lists.
- Plan and manage General Operatives, Security, Telehandler drivers, traffic marshals, etc.
- Manage overall site logistics.
- Drive the culture of safety and quality throughout the project.
- Review weekly progress reports, highlighting delays and shortages.
- Attend Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Coordination Meetings, and Handover Meetings.
- Close out all project items, including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, and Project Plan.
- Issue Daily Reports and weekly safety stats & project labour projections.
- Hold weekly commercial meetings to capture variations and costs.
- Review drawings and setting out details.
- Produce builders works drawings for services.
- Carry out distribute & close out CSA snags.
Construction Manager — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good strong working knowledge of CSA Construction processes.
- 5-7 years of experience as a CSA Construction Manager/Supervisor.
- A trade background or third-level education in a relevant engineering/construction field.
- A proven track record in coordinating and managing large-scale projects.
- Data Centre experience (advantageous).
