Commissioning Engineers 1 x Elec - 1 x Mech — Role Overview
This position sits at the heart of project delivery, ensuring mechanical plant—from chillers to AHUs and CRAH units—is installed, tested, and commissioned to exacting standards. You will work directly with the Commissioning Manager, project teams, and specialist vendors to drive quality outcomes through FAT, SAT, and IST phases.
Commissioning Engineers 1 x Elec - 1 x Mech — Responsibilities
You will support the mechanical commissioning schedule and strategy development alongside the wider Cx team and stakeholders. You will supervise mechanical installation works to verify compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations prior to testing. You will supervise and witness FATs, SATs, and IST for mechanical plant including chillers, AHUs, and CRAH units. You will coordinate specialist subcontractors and equipment vendors to ensure schedule adherence and scope completion. You will review and manage commissioning documentation including Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Test Scripts, and Compliance Statements, maintaining Red Line drawings and handover records. You will actively monitor and snag contractor works, managing the punch list process to achieve zero defects at handover. You will contribute to daily and weekly commissioning meetings with internal teams, clients, and vendors. You will ensure all commissioning activities comply with project Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
Commissioning Engineers 1 x Elec - 1 x Mech — Ideal Candidate
Essential: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or relevant Trade background with significant engineering experience. Previous experience in a Commissioning or Mechanical Engineering role within construction. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and the Design & Build environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills with proven stakeholder management ability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
Desirable: Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, or Industrial sector experience. Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
