Commercial Manager — Role Overview
You will lead commercial strategy and financial delivery for a significant data centre project, building and developing a commercial team while ensuring robust cost control, procurement excellence, and stakeholder reporting in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Commercial Manager — Responsibilities
• Lead commercial operations and financial management for the data centre project, ensuring delivery against budget, timeline, and commercial objectives
• Develop and mentor a high-performing commercial team, fostering collaboration across pre-construction and project delivery phases
• Manage end-to-end project procurement, overseeing subcontractor onboarding, supplier negotiations, and contract documentation to protect commercial interests
• Implement rigorous cost management practices and produce accurate commercial reports for senior stakeholders and the Commercial Lead

Essential:
• Minimum 10 years' commercial management experience in construction or engineering projects
• Demonstrated expertise in project financial management, cost control, and procurement strategy
• Proven track record leading commercial teams and managing multidisciplinary project activities
• Strong subcontractor management experience with comprehensive understanding of contract documentation and risk protection
• Commercially astute with ability to work under pressure to demanding schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards
