Senior Quantity Surveyor — Role Overview

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will ensure all project aspects are price-agreed to achieve acceptable returns for the company. You will maintain a clear audit trail to support payment and claim submissions, contributing to overall project financial success.

Senior Quantity Surveyor — Responsibilities

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:

  • Review and understand project contract documentation.
  • Prepare and analyze supplier and subcontractor inquiries.
  • Prepare and issue contract documents to the supply chain.
  • Monitor changes in scope and price variations.
  • Prepare and agree on monthly progress applications.
  • Manage financial and contractual control of subcontractor accounts.
  • Issue contractual notices and evaluate loss and expense/acceleration claims.
  • Provide accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates.
  • Prepare monthly commercial project reports.
  • Manage and forecast project cash flows.
  • Liaise with the client, main contractor, and other departments.

Senior Quantity Surveyor — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role.
  • A comprehensive understanding of work contracts.
  • A working knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Work Packages.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills at a professional level.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
