Senior Quantity Surveyor — Role Overview
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide crucial support to the Construction Team, ensuring compliance with contract obligations and managing subcontractor accounts. Your expertise will contribute to accurate financial reporting and risk management on the project.
Senior Quantity Surveyor — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with contract obligations and providing advice to the construction team.
- Identifying potential commercial risks and reporting them to management.
- Compiling monthly progress applications, including accurate remeasure, site variations, dayworks, and claims.
- Supporting operational procurement activity and contract management, in conjunction with the Procurement Department.
- Managing subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations, and final account.
- Managing and forecasting project turnover and cash flow.
- Reviewing and commercially managing all projects to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
- Identifying, analyzing, and reporting on trends within the business and projects.
- Providing data and analysis of issues and risks as required by management.
- Improving and implementing best practice commercial processes and accurate budgeting.
- Ensuring compliance with the Contract Programme/Schedule and providing weekly reports on planned versus actual progress.
- Reviewing incoming correspondence to identify contractually critical items and initiating replies.
Senior Quantity Surveyor — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in a large onsite environment.
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
Desirable:
- Data Centre Experience.
- Previous experience managing a team.
