Senior Quantity Surveyor — Role Overview

This senior position places you at the heart of commercial delivery on a high-profile data centre build. You will take full ownership of cost control, procurement strategy, and subcontractor relationships—directly influencing project profitability and client outcomes.

Senior Quantity Surveyor — Responsibilities

• Measure work packages from drawings and develop accurate package pricing with applied rates
• Manage the project budget under direction of the Project Director, ensuring commercial targets are met
• Lead procurement activities and oversee multiple complex subcontract packages through to final account
• Maintain direct client communications and represent commercial interests in key meetings
• Compile monthly commercial reports and attend commercial and subcontractor meetings
• Resolve client and subcontractor disputes effectively to protect project position
• Submit timely claims and contractual notices in strict accordance with contract provisions
• Document cost changes to work scopes and prepare monthly valuations and final accounts

Senior Quantity Surveyor — Ideal Candidate

Essential:
• 8+ years' experience in a senior quantity surveying role, with proven track record on major construction projects
• Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated expertise in subcontractor management, procurement, and final account negotiation
• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent organisational, communication, and time management capabilities

Desirable:
• Prior data centre or critical facilities experience
• Experience with Tier-1 contractor or EPC environments
