This Senior Project Planner role is crucial for maintaining project schedules and ensuring timely delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of planning, from pre-construction to commissioning, and will play a key role in project success.
Senior Project Planner — Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Planner, you will:
- Develop and maintain schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Create and manage progress databases, providing regular reports.
- Perform milestone projections, delay/float path analysis, and earned value management.
- Monitor schedule performance, productivity, and audit progress on site.
- Prepare tender schedules, histograms, and resource/cash-loaded schedules.
- Lead planning meetings and support weekly workface planning systems.
- Identify potential issues, advise on solutions, and record delays/disruptions.
- Assist in preparing claims and providing data for contractual disputes.
Senior Project Planner — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning on large-scale construction projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Earned Value Management, and Excel.
- A clear understanding of construction methodologies and sequence.
- Ability to produce and monitor programmes from drawings/models/SOW.
- Capability to manage planning of large-scale projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong motivation, self-starting ability, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
