This Senior Project Manager role is pivotal in ensuring the safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of a fully integrated build. You will lead and manage the project team, interface with the client team, and set clear direction for all project aspects.
Senior Project Manager — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the project team, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Implementing and managing the project audit plan, addressing open items and communicating findings.
- Ensuring effective communication of EHS alerts and workforce participation in campaigns.
- Implementing and adhering to company procedures, reviewing project specifications and documentation.
- Planning procurement and ensuring engineering is developed to meet deadlines.
- Reviewing weekly progress updates with the project planner and implementing strategies to keep the project on track.
- Attending client meetings, pushing a strong QEHS approach, and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Making training available to the team and subcontractors, setting standards for training requirements.
- Coordinating with project teams to achieve project dates and managing subcontractor meetings, safety walks, and audits.
Senior Project Manager — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Engineering Degree or recognized trade qualification.
- 10+ years’ experience managing large construction projects as a General Contractor.
- Thorough knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical packages.
- Flexibility in working patterns.
- Ability to efficiently manage a team through clear expectations, delegation, and review.
- Strong communication & computer skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
