Senior Planner — Role Overview

As Senior Planner, you will be responsible for all aspects of project planning, from pre-construction to commissioning. Your expertise will ensure the quality and accuracy of schedules and reports, contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects.

Senior Planner — Responsibilities

As Senior Planner, you will:

  • Develop and maintain schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Develop and maintain progress databases and provide progress reporting.
  • Conduct milestone projections and delay/float path analysis.
  • Implement and manage Earned Value Management systems.
  • Monitor schedule performance and productivity, and audit progress on site.
  • Prepare tender schedules and histograms.
  • Lead planning meetings and support weekly workface planning.
  • Resource and cash-load schedules and provide data for payment applications.
  • Record delays and disruptions and assist in claim preparation.
  • Manage, train, coach, and support planning staff as required.

Senior Planner — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant 3rd level degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a Project/Senior Planner on large industrial projects.
  • A proven track record in planning large projects on an industrial scale.
  • Experience in data centres (desirable but not essential).
  • Relevant planning software working knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
