Senior Planner — Role Overview
This Senior Planner position is crucial for the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction projects. You will be responsible for all aspects of planning, from pre-construction to commissioning, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Senior Planner — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Creating and maintaining progress databases.
- Generating progress reports, milestone projections, and delay/float path analyses.
- Implementing and managing Earned Value Management systems.
- Monitoring schedule performance and productivity, and auditing progress on site.
- Attending schedule meetings and liaising with clients and subcontractors.
- Preparing tender schedules and histograms.
- Leading planning meetings and supporting weekly workface planning systems.
- Resource and cash loading of schedules.
- Providing data for payment applications and completing contract review reports.
- Identifying and communicating potential issues, and advising on solutions.
- Recording delays and disruptions, and assisting in the preparation of claims.
- Travelling to project sites as required.
- Managing, training, coaching, and developing planning staff (if required).
Senior Planner — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Relevant 3rd level degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- 5-10 years of experience as a Project/Senior Planner on large plants/industrial projects.
- Proven track record in planning large projects on an industrial scale.
- Proficiency with relevant planning software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in data centres.
