Senior Planner — Role Overview
This Senior Planner role is crucial to the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction projects. You will be responsible for all aspects of project planning, from pre-construction through commissioning, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Senior Planner — Responsibilities
As Senior Planner, you will:
- Develop and maintain schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Implement and manage Earned Value Management systems.
- Monitor schedule performance and productivity, identifying potential delays and disruptions.
- Prepare tender schedules, histograms, and resource/cash-loaded schedules.
- Audit progress on-site and provide data for payment applications.
- Lead planning meetings and support weekly workface planning systems.
- Record delays and disruptions, assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes.
- Manage, train, coach, and develop planning staff (if required).
Senior Planner — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- High level competence in Primavera P6.
- Construction background.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in planning.
- Thorough understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Excel competence to a high level.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Good communication skills.
