Senior Planner — Role Overview
As Senior Planner, you will be responsible for all aspects of project planning, from pre-construction through commissioning. You will develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Senior Planner — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning.
- Developing and maintaining progress databases and providing progress reporting.
- Performing milestone projections, delay/float path analysis, and utilizing Earned Value Management systems.
- Monitoring schedule performance and productivity, and auditing progress on site.
- Attending schedule meetings and liaising with clients and subcontractors.
- Preparing tender schedules and histograms.
- Leading planning meetings and supporting weekly workface planning systems.
- Managing, training, and coaching planning staff (if required).
- Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes.
Senior Planner — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- High level competence in Primavera P6.
- A strong construction background.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in planning.
- A thorough understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- High-level Excel competence.
- The ability to work effectively within a team.
- Good communication skills.
