Senior Planner — Role Overview
This Senior Planner position is responsible for managing all aspects of project planning, from pre-construction through commissioning. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Senior Planner — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Developing and maintaining progress databases.
- Monitoring schedule performance and productivity.
- Auditing progress on site.
- Preparing tender schedules and histograms.
- Resource and cash loading of schedules.
- Providing data for payment applications.
- Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes.
- Leading planning meetings and supporting weekly workface planning systems.
- Managing, training, and developing planning staff (if required).
Senior Planner — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant 3rd level degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- 5-10 years of experience as a Project or Senior Planner on large plants or industrial projects.
- A proven track record in planning large projects on an industrial scale.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in data centres (desirable).
