Senior Electrical Engineer 01 — Role Overview
This is a hands-on technical leadership position driving electrical delivery across a complex data centre build. You will own design validation, submittal management, and subcontractor coordination from site.
Senior Electrical Engineer 01 — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
• Completing electrical design reviews to identify gaps, deviations, and contradictions in specifications and IFC drawings
• Generating detailed RFIs to address design ambiguity and potential issues
• Validating equipment sizing (cables, containment) and making technical recommendations
• Managing submittals through approval, tracking procurement and delivery, and completing receipt verification
• Conducting electrical system walk-downs to verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and integrated management systems
• Attending and documenting supplier and subcontractor meetings to monitor progress against construction programmes
• Managing, reviewing, and coordinating electrical services with other disciplines and the project BIM team
• Advising and guiding subcontracted staff on all technical aspects
• Ensuring subcontractor compliance with site requirements, operations, and health & safety obligations
• Preparing method statements and risk assessments for construction activities
• Sequencing electrical installations for maximum efficiency and safety
• Applying troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and implement corrective actions
• Maintaining document control and keeping all logs current
Senior Electrical Engineer 01 — Ideal Candidate
Essential
• Relevant qualification (Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering); trade qualification advantageous
• 5+ years' experience in similar role within mechanical and electrical contracting environment
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Desirable
• Knowledge of mechanical systems in data centre environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to maintain contractor relationships
