Senior Electrical Engineer - Schiphol Rijk — Role Overview
This Senior Electrical Engineer position sits at the heart of electrical delivery for significant data centre construction. You will drive technical compliance, coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces, and ensure subcontractor performance meets exacting standards in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Senior Electrical Engineer - Schiphol Rijk — Responsibilities
• Lead comprehensive electrical design reviews to identify gaps, deviations and contradictions in specifications and IFC drawings
• Generate detailed RFIs to resolve ambiguity and pre-empt design issues before they impact construction
• Validate equipment sizing including cable and containment systems, making technical recommendations where required
• Manage submittals through approval processes, track procurement and delivery, and complete receipt verification
• Conduct electrical system walk-downs ensuring compliance with specifications, drawings and integrated management systems
• Attend and document supplier and subcontractor meetings, monitoring progress against construction programmes
• Coordinate electrical services with other disciplines and the project BIM team
• Provide technical guidance to subcontracted staff on all electrical aspects of the project
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with site requirements, operational standards and health & safety obligations
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for electrical construction activities
• Sequence electrical installations for maximum efficiency and safety
• Apply troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and implement corrective actions
• Maintain document control systems ensuring all logs remain current
