Senior Electrical Design Engineer — Role Overview
Reporting to the Electrical Design Manager, you will be a senior member of the Project Team, contributing to high-value projects for major data centre clients. You will manage design packages from initial review to handover, ensuring technical compliance and constructability.
Senior Electrical Design Engineer — Responsibilities
As Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate with engineers and construction managers to develop project plans.
- Liaise with clients and third parties as required.
- Develop scope-of-works (SoW), task information deliverables lists (TIDP), and responsibility matrices (R&R/ RACI) for Electrical disciplines.
- Raise design-related risks and establish mitigation plans.
- Maintain accurate records of key design activities.
- Attend design-related meetings and provide input for optimization.
- Oversee the construction process to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Manage the deliverables and approvals processes of design packages.
- Ensure knowledge of client and country-specific design standards.
- Prepare comprehensive handover packs to the site team.
- Coordinate and manage coordination of Electrical disciplines and interfaces with CSA and Mechanical.
Senior Electrical Design Engineer — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in the Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or Data Centre sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of Statutory Consent Processes and Building Regulations.
- Demonstrable design, technical, and construction knowledge.
- Experience in leading meetings and coordinating team members.
- Strong working knowledge of structural design and analysis software such as BIM, Revit.
