Senior EHS Advisor — Role Overview

As Senior EHS Advisor, you will be crucial in ensuring the implementation and maintenance of EHS management systems across project sites. Your expertise will contribute to a safe and compliant working environment, supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.

Senior EHS Advisor — Responsibilities

As Senior EHS Advisor, you will:

  • Implement and maintain EHS management systems for all projects.
  • Adhere to project and company safety management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Environmental, Health & Safety legislation.
  • Coordinate the development of task-specific method statements, risk assessments, and permit to work.
  • Carry out regular site audits and inspections, document reports, and establish corrective actions.
  • Attend site meetings, report on EHS risks, and recommend improvements.
  • Provide EHS advice and guidance to management, safety representatives, and employees.
  • Ensure project subcontractors adhere to project EHS policies and procedures.
  • Assist with accident investigations and ensure timely reporting.
  • Maintain waste reduction and recycling programmes.

Senior EHS Advisor — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Relevant third-level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
  • Minimum 3 years of site experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health, and safety legislation.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility in working patterns.
