You will drive accuracy, build strategic vendor relationships across Ireland and Europe, and shape departmental standards while mentoring a specialist team.
Senior CSA Quantity Surveyor - Pre Construction Estimating — Responsibilities
• Lead the CSA estimating function across complex, large-scale tenders, ensuring high accuracy in estimates based on drawings and specifications
• Manage quantities and prepare comprehensive pricing documentation
• Develop detailed pricing by engaging Irish and European subcontractors and suppliers
• Conduct thorough data analysis to benchmark and justify subcontractor selections
• Maintain and enhance the cost database with current market intelligence
• Present estimates directly to the Estimating Director and Board of Directors
• Build and nurture strategic relationships with key vendors, subcontractors, suppliers and engineers
• Monitor industry trends, market developments and pricing benchmarks
• Drive continuous improvement of procedures and quality assurance standards across the department
• Mentor, guide and develop a high-performing team of estimators
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Estimators to deliver fully coordinated submissions
• Identify and assess potential project risks throughout the tender process
Senior CSA Quantity Surveyor - Pre Construction Estimating — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
• Minimum 8 years' estimating experience on large-scale projects
• Proven background in Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) engineering or relevant trade experience
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team of estimators
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Competency in at least one leading QS BQ production software package (Buildsoft or CostX)
Desirable:
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience
• European subcontractor network and market knowledge
