Senior CSA Design Engineer — Role Overview
As a Senior CSA Design Engineer, you will be a key member of the project team, reporting to the CSA Design Manager. You will manage design packages from initial review through to handover, ensuring technical compliance and supporting project deliverables at all stages.
Senior CSA Design Engineer — Responsibilities
As a Senior CSA Design Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction managers to develop project plans and ensure on-schedule delivery.
- Liaise with clients and other 3rd parties as required.
- Develop scope-of-works (SoW), task information deliverables lists (TIDP), and responsibility matrices (R&R/ RACI) for CSA disciplines.
- Raise design-related risks to planning, commercial and management.
- Maintain accurate records of key design activities and escalate to management.
- Attend design related meetings and provide continual input for optimisation.
- Oversee the construction process to ensure adherence to design specifications and schedules.
- Manage the deliverables and approvals processes of design packages.
- Conduct site visits and report progress and quality of work.
- Ensure civil, structural, and architectural technical compliance on all projects.
- Perform structural steelwork and concrete analysis and calculations.
- Perform analysis of geotechnical and SI reports and surveys.
- Review design proposals for suitability and constructability.
- Utilize CAD and BIM software to create detailed design proposals.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for project approval and permits.
- Manage key registers throughout the project design period.
Senior CSA Design Engineer — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in the Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or Data Centre sectors.
- In depth knowledge of Statutory Consent Processes, Building Regulations process is essential.
- Demonstrable design, technical and construction knowledge is essential for this role.
- Experience in leading meetings and coordinating the other team members.
- Strong working knowledge of structural design and analysis software such as BIM, Revit, Tekla (or equivalent)
