Senior Buyer — Role Overview
As Senior Buyer, you will deliver best-in-class procurement performance for assigned projects. You'll be responsible for efficient buying processes, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring timely delivery of quality goods and services.
Senior Buyer — Responsibilities
As Senior Buyer, you will:
- Obtain quality goods and services in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Manage the procurement-to-pay process from sourcing to invoice clearance.
- Purchase and hire equipment, materials, and services for assigned projects.
- Secure the quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Conduct complex bid processes and commercial evaluations.
- Identify new supplier sources and recommend sourcing strategies.
- Create internal reports and conduct external reporting.
- Develop Procurement Project Execution Plans and Schedules.
- Negotiate vendor alliances, rebate agreements, and master service agreements.
- Assist in the reallocation or disposal of excess materials.
- Coordinate the logistics of goods and services.
Senior Buyer — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong negotiation skills
- Minimum of 6 years’ work experience in a similar role.
- Ability to prioritize workload efficiently.
- A third level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline.
- Previous SAP experience.
