Quantity Surveyor — Role Overview
This is a hands-on commercial role managing procurement, subcontractor payments, and project budgets for a major data centre build. You'll work directly with the Project Director and be the commercial lead on-site, with real autonomy to shape project outcomes.
Quantity Surveyor — Responsibilities
• Supervise procurement of work packages, ensuring technical completion and commercial compliance
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier payments, managing variations and cash flow
• Control project budgets under direction of the Project Director
• Lead client communications on commercial and contractual matters
• Document, cost, and negotiate changes to work scope
• Prepare monthly valuations and manage final accounts to successful close-out
Quantity Surveyor — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
• 5+ years' experience as Quantity Surveyor, preferably within mechanical and electrical (M&E) contracting
• Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field
• Proven track record managing procurement, variations, and final accounts
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
Desirable:
• Data centre construction experience
• International project exposure
• Finnish or Scandinavian market knowledge
