Quantity Surveyor — Role Overview
As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the financial management and contractual control of data centre projects. Your expertise will ensure accurate cost management and effective communication with stakeholders.
Quantity Surveyor — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
• Reviewing and understanding project contract documentation.
• Preparing and analysing supplier and sub-contractor enquiries.
• Preparing and issuing contract documents to the supply chain.
• Monitoring changes in scope of work and pricing variations.
• Preparing and agreeing monthly progress applications.
• Managing financial and contractual control of sub-contractor accounts.
• Issuing contractual notices and evaluating loss and expense/acceleration claims.
• Preparing monthly commercial project reports.
• Managing and forecasting project cash flows.
• Liaising with the client, main contractor and other departments.
Quantity Surveyor — Ideal Candidate
• Degree qualified or possess relevant experience in the industry.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a QS role on data centres or large-scale projects.
• A wide understanding of work contracts.
• A working knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Work Packages.
• Strong numerical skills.
• Able to negotiate with clients professionally.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
