Quantity Surveyor — Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Review and prepare subcontract documentation, ensuring compliance.
- Price Mechanical and Electrical tenders.
- Measure and price contract variations.
- Prepare monthly Interim Application for Payments.
- Issue contractual notices and evaluate loss and expense claims.
- Provide accurate and competitive estimates.
- Liaise with clients, main contractors, and internal departments.
- Measure site progress weekly, including productivity and physical quantum.
- Manage and forecast the cash flow of your package.
- Improve and implement best practice commercial processes.
Quantity Surveyor — Ideal Candidate
- Degree qualified or possess relevant industry experience.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a QS role.
- Wide understanding of work contracts.
- Working knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Work Packages.
- Proficient with figures.
- Able to negotiate with clients professionally.
- Experienced in using Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
