Quality Inspector — Role Overview

This Quality Inspector role is crucial for maintaining high standards on site. The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and client requirements.

Quality Inspector — Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing, implementing, and maintaining ISO 9000/2000 & ISO 14001 standards.
  • Developing quality plans, manuals, documents, and systems.
  • Working with the client to ensure their quality standards and procedures are successfully submitted, approved, and implemented against agreed timelines.
  • Completing audits and advising management on QA issues.
  • Ensuring all documentation and certification is complete and checked prior to final handover.
  • Attending and coordinating weekly meetings with the client, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Reviewing and revising documentation to incorporate changes to company policies and objectives, in order to stay in line with ISO 9000/2000.
  • Reporting to the Project Manager.
  • Arranging and attending site installation and benchmarking inspections.
  • Performing continuous quality inspections of the works as they progress.
  • Maintaining “Right First Time” records / procedures.
  • Overseeing handover of systems / areas to the client’s team.
  • Ensuring the current QA/QC procedures used on projects are standardized and integrated into the Company QA/QC Manual.

Quality Inspector — Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • A relevant Third Level or Professional Qualification with a Mechanical bias
  • 3+ years experience with the Quality walk down process on site
  • 3+ years experience in Quality/ QA Inspections on large scale construction sites
  • Working knowledge of doing inspections and forms per approved site Inspections and test Plans
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and planning skills
  • Excellent work and personal ethics that include trustworthiness, commitment, and empathy
  • Confident, creative, and energetic approach to addressing all quality-related issues
  • Ability to produce quality written reports
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint

Desirable:

  • Experience in the datacentre industry
