Quality Engineer — Role Overview

This Quality Engineer role is crucial in maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and client satisfaction on fire protection projects. You will support the Quality Manager and ensure project activities align with quality standards.

Quality Engineer — Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting compliance with existing ISO quality standards and management systems.
  • Managing the QA/QC portal on SharePoint for the Fire Protection Business Unit, ensuring up-to-date information and developing SOPs.
  • Assisting in defining, implementing, and maintaining quality standards through compliance audits.
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Managing and maintaining Quality Plans/Manuals, documents, and systems.
  • Ensuring client quality plans, policies, and procedures are met.
  • Carrying out internal audits related to SOP procedures and installed work.
  • Participating in external audits, including preparation for ISO 9001 and LPC Sprinkler 1048 audits.
  • Closing out actions arising from internal and external audits.
  • Maintaining and following up on corrective actions and non-conformances.
  • Preparing reports on Quality System performance and advising the manager on QA issues and KPIs.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and within strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent work and personal ethics that include trustworthiness, commitment, and empathy
  • Confident, creative, and energetic approach to addressing all quality-related issues
  • Ability to produce quality written reports
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
