Quality Engineer — Role Overview
This Quality Engineer role is critical for ensuring compliance with ISO quality standards and management systems. The successful candidate will manage the QA/QC portal, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement within the Fire Protection Business Unit.
Quality Engineer — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Providing support ensuring compliance to existing ISO quality standards & management systems.
- Managing the QA/QC portal on SharePoint for the Fire Protection Business Unit.
- Developing SOP’s and updating Fire Protection Controlled Documents.
- Assisting in defining, implementing, and maintaining Quality Standards on site through Compliance audits.
- Preparing and maintaining documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Managing and maintaining Quality Plan’s / Manual’s, Documents, and Systems.
- Ensuring that client quality plans, policies, and procedures are met.
- Carrying out internal audits in relation to SOP procedures and installed work on sites.
- Participating in external audits (ISO 9001, LPC Sprinkler 1048).
- Closing out actions arising from internal and external audits.
- Maintaining and following up on corrective actions and non-conformances raised.
- Driving continuous improvement and best practices in site Quality systems.
- Preparing reports on Quality System performance.
- Advising the Manager on all QA issues and Monthly Reporting KPI's.
Quality Engineer — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant Third Level or Professional Qualification
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to work well under pressure and within strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Excellent work and personal ethics that include trustworthiness, commitment, and empathy
- A confident, creative, and energetic approach to addressing quality-related issues
- Ability to produce quality written reports
- Proficiency in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
