Quality Engineer — Role Overview

This Quality Engineer role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of a complex data centre project. You will work closely with the Quality Manager to implement quality control procedures and monitor contractor performance.

Quality Engineer — Responsibilities

As Quality Engineer, you will:

  • Support the Quality Manager in achieving contract quality objectives.
  • Implement quality vision, goals, and strategies.
  • Identify and support the production of quality department deliverables.
  • Verify implementation of contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with commercial/procurement to ensure quality requirements in Purchase Orders/Contracts.
  • Review and monitor Vendor/Contractor deliverables.
  • Review Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Oversee contractor's quality documentation, ensuring specification compliance.
  • Plan and perform quality audits and assessments.
  • Raise non-conformances, support resolution, and ensure close-out.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports and manage KPI information.
  • Ensure complete and checked documentation and certification prior to handover.
  • Utilize Autodesk BIM360 for managing quality issues.
  • Attend Quality & Construction meetings.

Quality Engineer — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience on large multi-discipline projects.
  • Minimum 10 years’ inspection surveillances experience overseeing vendors and sub-contractors on pipework, electrical mechanical, structural steelwork.
  • Experience in Mechanical equipment, welding, testing, CE marking.
  • Experience in work packs and test packs.
  • Experience in preservation activities (preferred).
  • Experience in modular build.
  • Knowledge of ISO:9001;2015.
