Project Planner — Role Overview

This Project Planner role is crucial for maintaining project schedules and ensuring efficient progress on site. You will work closely with project management to monitor progress, address delays, and uphold planning standards.

Project Planner — Responsibilities

As a Project Planner, you will:

  • Uphold planning standards in collaboration with project management.
  • Monitor project progress and address delays proactively.
  • Produce and update weekly and monthly variance reports.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain progress databases.
  • Report on progress, milestones, and delay/float path analysis.
  • Manage earned value management systems.
  • Monitor schedule performance and productivity.
  • Attend schedule meetings, liaise with client and subcontractors.
  • Prepare tender schedules and histograms.
  • Support weekly workface planning systems.
  • Resource/cash load schedules and provide data for payment applications.
  • Record delays and disruptions, assisting in claim preparation.

Project Planner — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High-level competence in Primavera P6.
  • A construction background.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in planning.
  • A thorough understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • High-level Excel competence.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Good communication skills.
