Project Planner — Role Overview
As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for all aspects of planning across a portfolio of construction projects. You will develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, ensuring timely and accurate progress reporting.
Project Planner — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Developing and maintaining progress databases.
- Preparing progress reports, milestone projections, and delay/float path analysis.
- Implementing and managing Earned Value Management systems.
- Monitoring schedule performance and productivity, and auditing progress on site.
- Attending schedule meetings and liaising with clients and subcontractors.
- Preparing tender schedules and histograms.
- Supporting weekly workface planning systems and resource/cash loading of schedules.
- Providing data for payment applications and completing contract review reports.
- Identifying and resolving schedule-related issues, recording delays and disruptions, and assisting in claim preparation.
Project Planner — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- A background in a construction-related degree or trade.
- 5+ years’ experience in Project Planning of large construction projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent IT and software skills, including Oracle P6 and Excel.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and within strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of and commitment to Health & Safety.
