Project Director — Role Overview
As Project Director, you will manage and coordinate all aspects of projects, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery. You will lead the project team, interface with the client, and set clear expectations for the fully integrated build.
Project Director — Responsibilities
You will:
- Schedule and chair meetings with project teams, design teams, and clients.
- Ensure timely close-out of outstanding items.
- Actively contribute to EHS and QA meetings.
- Implement the project audit plan and address open items.
- Communicate EHS alerts effectively and engage in relevant campaigns.
- Ensure adherence to company procedures and project specifications.
- Plan procurement and ensure engineering meets deadlines.
- Review weekly progress, implement strategies to keep projects on track, and issue project reports.
- Guide and assist the project team, aligning expectations with project requirements.
Project Director — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Engineering Degree or recognised trade qualification.
- 10+ years’ experience managing large construction projects as a General Contractor.
- Thorough knowledge of Civil, Structural, and Architectural packages.
- Flexibility in working patterns.
- Ability to efficiently manage a team through expectation setting, delegation, and review.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Close attention to detail.
- Good team-working skills.
