Mechanical Supervisor — Role Overview
This position sits at the heart of mechanical delivery on a complex data centre build, where you'll drive safety culture, quality assurance and programme coordination across multiple trades. Your decisions directly impact project outcomes and team performance.
Mechanical Supervisor — Responsibilities
You will lead mechanical site operations with direct accountability for safety, quality and programme delivery:
• Drive daily safety culture through toolbox talks, inspections and immediate action on hazards
• Execute QA walkdowns of mechanical installations against drawings, specifications and industry standards
• Complete snagging inspections, sign off QA documentation and maintain quality records
• Produce accurate weekly progress reports flagging risks, delays and variations to senior management
• Develop two-week lookahead programmes and manage labour deployment against the master schedule
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, HVAC and structural trades to eliminate clashes and delays
• Monitor subcontractor performance, enforce compliance and escalate issues proactively
• Verify all plant, materials and access equipment meet certification and specification requirements
• Oversee safe storage and handling of materials on site
Mechanical Supervisor — Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years' experience as Mechanical Supervisor on major construction projects
• Proven track record managing mechanical installations with direct QA responsibility
• Demonstrable expertise in safety leadership, inspections and audit closure

• Experience coordinating multiple trades and managing subcontractor performance
Desirable
• Data centre or critical environment construction experience
